This film, shot in 1969, deals with a certain rebellious vision of Quebec at the time. It is a radical questioning of the ways of being of an entire community, which the filmmaker expresses in a most direct style. (This film was released in theaters in 1975.)

The film is based on a novel by Anna Gavalda, and adapted for the small screen by M. Langlois and Veronique Lecharpy. The idea that a formal academic school program is traditionally seen as the way for young minds to be formed and molded, yet how many children that are deemed failures by the same system go on to make names for themselves as they discover fields and subjects not taught by the educational establishment world-wide.

Why do we often go to dinners we don't want to attend, to see friends who aren't really friends anymore? Out of habit? Out of kindness? Out of cowardice? Intoxicated by the idea of tidying up their schedules by sorting through their old friends, Pierre and Clotilde Lecoeur (played by ERIC ELMOSNINO and LYSIANE MEIS) decide to organize farewell dinners, the ultimate form of friendly divorce. However, by choosing - as their first victim - Antoine Royer (played by GUILLAUME DE TONQUÉDEC), their oldest friend, Pierre and Clotilde are unaware that they are getting caught up in a downward spiral.

In order to win back his wife, a writer in need of inspiration disguises himself and lands a job at the magazine where she works.

Can a loving relationship of eight years go down the drain because of a single moment of carelessness? Virginie and Laurent have always treasured fidelity, but Laurent's opinions and appetites are starting to shift with the times.
